Day 5 - Into the Web Page

Continued with the web page making the about and background information tab of 2012. Added an introduction to the home page and some other pictures.Collected more information on the background of the Mayan calender and what its based on. Hopefully going to tackle a good part of it tomorrow.

Day 3:

Creating the web page seems easy but is really a hard task. first we decided to do the web on a google page but to edit the page was to complicated.. so we decided to go on netvibes. the link is on johnathans blog. we are currently working on it so youll see the finish product sooon.

Day 4 - Creating the Web page

These next couple of days we will be creating a webpage about 2012. We have started a web page on www.netvibes.com and its URL is www.netvibes.com/2012project. Started with adding some pictures and setting up some tabs. Probably going to make different tabs for every subject we talked about and more in our research blog, including an about me and works cited. Tomorrow we going to comit a massive amount of time to come close to completing the web page.

Day 2:

as the votes continue on the poll my partner wong made. i see that many people dont believe in the day December 21, 2012 will you believe when your looking at a giant rock aiming for termination of your existence.



As we go by everyday we belief and we assume that december would be like evry other christmas full of joy and Gifts. who knows if 4 days before christmas the world we know today will be colapsing and everything we once loved is going to be gone.

They have also been many movies and shows based on this theory.. This is a poster on a movie the was based on 2012



One of the biggest reasons people believe in this is because on the mayan calendar the calendar seems to end on that specific date of dec 21, 2012

Day 3 Collecting Background Knowledge of 2012

We all hear that December 12, 2012 is the end day of the Mayan calender. I have come across another theory on why something may happen in 2012. I have come across an article about the Chinese oracle of the I-Ching which is known as "The Book of Change". The book is made up of mass amounts of lines and dashes which is called hexagrams. when the book was made, it contains 64 hexagrams. A man named Terrance Mckenna has taken these lines and dashes and fed them into a computer program that created a line graph rising and falling. At any given falling point on the graph, a an event would occur in history. If the line would be rising it basically meant the rise or form of something. According to Mckenna, the last rise on the graph was the Classical Greece era (700 B.C.) and ever since then the graph would just fall into infinity. No event has happened to represent that fall in the graph. So he thinks that missing event can be December 21, 2012 when the Mayan calender ends.

Day 2 Adding a Poll

Today I learned that you can add a poll so I made a question up, do you think a catastrophic event will take place in the year 2012? Then I added some possible and diverse answers like yes no or maybe. I voted no that nothing is going to happen just because when year 2000 came along, people believed the world was going to end and obviously it hasn't. I thought that adding a poll would give a public opinion on what they think may or may not happen in 2012 and it may have an interesting outcome.
